About Event:

Today's session commenced with an insightful discussion on the pivotal role of infrastructure in fostering the growth and development of urban areas. Mr Taral Shah, our esteemed speaker, provided a comprehensive overview of the journey undertaken by Shivalik Iconic projects over the past 15 years.

He began by highlighting the unique challenges encountered during the development of the High Street project, which involved the construction of two basements and the engagement of a specialized lighting consultant. In contrast, the Shivalik Abaise project in Phraladnagar presented its own set of obstacles, such as the absence of ground and first-floor retail spaces, necessitating the use of cantilever slabs and extensive scaffolding up to the fourth floor. These challenges led to a slower construction pace, prompting the contractor to expedite efforts to meet deadlines, given the early commitments made by investors and buyers.

Subsequently, Mr. Shah discussed the iconic projects in Gift City, including Shivalik Skyview, Shivalik Curv, Shivalik Trophy, and Gift 4, each posing distinct challenges in design and execution.

Moreover, the session delved into emerging construction technologies, including prefabrication, modular construction, 3D printing, green building practices, advanced materials, Building Information Modelling (BIM), drones, and IoT-enabled Smart Construction. Special attention was given to innovations in formwork, such as Modular Formwork, Tunnel Formwork, Wireless Temperature Monitoring Formwork Systems, Concrete Formlining Formwork, Fabric Formwork, and PAP (Mivan Technology).

The session witnessed active participation from approximately 75 attendees, with an additional 500+ joining online. Engaging discussions ensued, with attendees posing numerous questions related to investment opportunities and challenges encountered in iconic projects.

Overall, the session provided valuable insights into the critical role of infrastructure in urban development, as well as the innovative technologies shaping the future of construction.
